Chandigarh's District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission directed two Tata authorised dealers to pay ₹2 lakh in compensation to a customer who had alleged defects in his new Tata Altroz and harassment due to repeated ineffective repairs. Customer had accused Tata and dealers of deficiency in service. The commission, however, noted that manufacturing defect warranting replacement wasn't proven.
