He reportedly said, "Till last date, she wants salary...but can't come to the meeting." "Pregnancy is an excuse. One should feel ashamed. Every time it's...same excuse. 'I'm pregnant, I'm going to the doctor'," he added.

The BJP on Wednesday released its third and final list of 18 candidates for the upcoming Bihar Assembly elections. The party has fielded Satish Kumar Yadav from Raghopur to take on former Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav. Party leader Bina Devi will contest from the Kochadhaman seat, while Sanjay Pandey will contest from Narkatiaganj.

Chirag Paswan's Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) released its first list of 14 candidates for the Bihar Assembly elections. The party was given 29 seats to contest under the NDA's seat-sharing arrangement. The party's state unit chief, Raju Tiwari, has been fielded from East Champaran in Govindganj. Earlier reports said that JD(U) fielded candidates in 4-5 seats eyed by LJP(RV).

Chandigarh police arrested Navneet Chaturvedi, self-proclaimed national president of Janata Party, in connection with forged nominations for the Punjab Rajya Sabha elections. According to reports he allegedly forged signatures of several AAP MLAs on nomination papers. His papers were rejected after scrutiny when the MLAs denied endorsing his candidature, prompting the police action.

Ahead of Bihar Assembly elections, a controversy erupted after Jan Suraaj Party's Dheeraj Jaiswal, denied ticket from Riga, burnt party flags and benefit cards, accusing chief Prashant Kishor of betrayal. As per reports, Jaiswal claimed he spent ₹50 lakh on campaigning. The party later named Krishna Mohan as its candidate from Riga. It added that he also resigned from party.
